1998 with a 3:4 sometimes,but not all the time,my starter will not turn ,but I can hear the solnoia clicking, if i turn key back to off then to start 4 5 times the starter will after all these try,s engage and start.My ? is there any relays between switch and starter? Have just replaced battrie...

I have 1995 4 runner, with a leakie gas tank ,I have taken off gas tank sheild, and removed the bolts holding gas tank up there were 6 of them. also unpluged the elect.pump., took the supply and return lines off ,but cannot get to the pipe that you put gas into the tank,I need to remove this...

I have 1995 runner,3.0 about once every week it will not start, starter will not turn over, if I turn ing. switch 6/7 times it will turn and start, then not have this problem for several days then it will do it again any one have this problem, thanks for any help.

Sounds like you found one thats just getting broke in. when was timeing belt done on yours, mine now has 118000, I don't know if mine was ever changed there is no sticker that say's it was, only other way to tell is to change. it. No crud. in my Eng.and mine was not on hg recall. dealer ran it...

:awais: sounds like good price on the 95, I paid 6500 for mine it had 115000 mi. these are very well built trucks! will run very long time, good luck hope you find what your looking for.

Thats Why I say To Research . Before putting anything in your Eng.I would never want to put any thing to my Eng. I could not undo. In reseaching this I have seen many post, on this sight and others ,where people have put sythetic oil in older Eng.s and have had the Eng. to start leaking...

Its always good to research a product be for you use it . thats what I,am doing with this post.I did this same reseach on toyota 4 runner before buying it. heard all the good and the bad points. thanks for your input.:)

Thanks for the info. Mike . Truck runs just fine. I,am just wanting to give that Eng. some extra protection from heat and wear.From what I understand alot of the Big Rigs. use this in their Eng.s To prevent dry start ups and this is 90% of your Eng.s wear. :)

Has anyone every used LUCAS H.D. OIL STABLIZER,in your 4runner? if so, what did you think of it? Was thinking of putting some in my 3.0 to reduce heat and wear. thanks for your time.:)

Sorry ,to hear about your 4 runner,I too just bougth my 4runner about 3 wks ago, mine is also a 95 3.0 I had read about the H.G. recall so before I bougth it I went to local TOY. dealer to check if my runner was on recall list for H.G. they ran vin# and said it was not on list . You might want...

Don,t know for sure, what it,s for but would say its after market something, my 95 does not have light there ,owners manuel does not say there should be light there.so I would say it,s for something added on,? maybe? couldbe? mightbe? Ithink? or maybe I don,t? :artist::) :)
