Hey, I have the same truck and you can find the remotes on Ebay for cheap. Better to get the oem remote if not going to go with an aftermarket alarm system. And the rear glass button does come in handy. This seller also provides programming instructions. Hope this helps you good luck...

Starter solenoid not retracting starter gear after starting maybe?

I seem to be in the same boat as you are. There is sometimes a slight jerk after you come to a dead stop. I feel it's the transmission or the solenoid. Can anyone here offer suggestions? I have a '99 SR5 V6 4x4
