Solo Motorsports stock length LCA's will soon be a thing!!!!

They were autozone arms so that was admittedly a huge factor in why they broke, but aside from that, the design is not ideal. I don't like how the forged piece is just riveted into the arms. I wanted a set of arms that I wouldn't have to worry about at all.

Solo Motorsports stock length LCA's will soon be a thing!!!!

Personally, my reason for getting these arms is because I wanted a beefier replacement for stock arms since I have already broken two sets. I have heard of a few other people doing the same. And while I do push my rig relatively hard, I don't think I would ever need to run a secondary shock or a...

Solo Motorsports stock length LCA's will soon be a thing!!!!

For me, product testing would basically just entail FEA and real life testing on my truck. I wouldn't be able to do any measurable testing to failure (fatigue testing, tensile strength testing, etc.) so it probably wouldn't be acceptable by automotive industry standards but it would be good...

Solo Motorsports stock length LCA's will soon be a thing!!!!

I think for this run, they are planning on just making a stock replacement that works with factory LBJ's. If anything, I think it would be easier to just upgrade the stock LBJ's to uniballs. As for the +2" LT, if there's enough interest in it, someone should contact Solo and see if it's...

Solo Motorsports stock length LCA's will soon be a thing!!!!

I don't work for Solo. I am just coordinating with them on getting the ball rolling for some stock length LCA's. As far as the uniball LBJ replacements, I haven't brought it up to Solo mainly because they already make their own custom spindles for toyota trucks and lower uniball assemblies that...

Solo Motorsports stock length LCA's will soon be a thing!!!!

Yeah, I've been looking into this for the last hour or so. I also saw the one Z-4Runner made. I might end up just making my own if for no other reason than to save some money. I like the ebay one, but I feel like the uniball could be bigger.

Solo Motorsports stock length LCA's will soon be a thing!!!!

So it turns out another member already makes the LBJ uniball replacements so I'll probably just buy a set of his lol. https://www.ebay.com/itm/202210171818?ul_noapp=true As for the timeline, I believe they said they would have a first batch ready in a little over a month, but don't quote me on...

Solo Motorsports stock length LCA's will soon be a thing!!!!

I can't give any pricing info yet, but I can tell you that the pricing will be very comparable to TC or Camburg stock length boxed LCA's for 2nd gen Tacoma's.

Solo Motorsports stock length LCA's will soon be a thing!!!!

I believe they already sell stock length UCA's (boxed and tubular) that correct the caster on lifted trucks by moving the UBJ rearward. I suggested to Carl at Solo that they make the LCA's with additional caster correction by moving the LBJ forward. But I don't think it would be enough to fix...

Solo Motorsports stock length LCA's will soon be a thing!!!!

I agree. I am currently running 35's with Camburg UCA's and stock LCA's and when I get it aligned, they have to trade off camber for caster and end up under the stock camber specs. I think a little more caster built into the arm would definitely help.

Solo Motorsports stock length LCA's will soon be a thing!!!!

These would be fully compatible with our stock spindles. They will bolt right into our stock LBJ's. I will, however, soon be developing a uniball bolt-in replacement for our notoriously weak LBJ's so stay tuned for that!

Solo Motorsports stock length LCA's will soon be a thing!!!!

Hey guys. I'm pleased to announce that Solo Motorsports will soon be producing stock length boxed LCA's for our trucks! They are currently in the design phase and they are trying to do a bit of market research so they have a few questions for you guys: 1) Would you run air bumps with these...

    Aftermarket stock length LCA's

This is the damage I'm experiencing. It happened again this weekend but not as bad as the first time which is what the picture shows.

    Aftermarket stock length LCA's

The sheet metal sheared near the rivets that hold the cast piece that connects to the LBJ. My main complaint with those arms is that piece is only riveted in, not fully welded like the newer toyota trucks. I believe the damage was caused by bottoming out the suspension too hard, so unfortunately...

    Aftermarket stock length LCA's

I have upgraded my LBJ's to the Tacoma ones and I have spindle gussets, so that may be why I haven't had any problems with those yet. I am still running the autozone LCA's which could definitely explain the repeated failures (the arms have cracked and bent near the ball joint on two seperate...
