Whose ready for a troubleshoot a doozy

If it starts with starting fluid, I would be checking for fuel pressure, or at least fuel flow. Hook a pressure gauge up or disconnect the fuel feed line and put it into a plastic bottle or something, then crank. See if fuel comes out. Note: Our 4runners don't prime the fuel pump with...

    Are these fuel injectors genuine?

I'll echo the same sentiment - avoid these. Go with Dirty Deeds or OEM. Expensive, but you will avoid headaches. I went through an injector fiasco last year. Ordered from an "OEM remanufacturer" and more than one injector was leaking which caused hot start issues. Went OEM from dealer - was...

Nervous about Valve Cover Gasket Bolts

Indiana owner here. I did the cam seals (and valve stem seals because of "while I'm in there" itis) this past winter, so had to deal with the valve cover, which ended up being a several day project. Broke 9 of those bastards. Tried welding nuts on to extract, that didn't work at all. What it...

Help verify o2 sensor part number please!

This code is in relation to the data being reported by the downstream O2 sensor. Your diagram that was included doesn't apply to our 4runners. We only have a total of 4 sensors - 1 upstream and 1 downstream per bank. Denso part #2344261.

ATF Temp (Trans Temp) on Torque Pro

New adapter came. It turns out, for whatever reason, that was the issue. I got a VEEPEAK adapter and trans temp works now :)

ATF Temp (Trans Temp) on Torque Pro

Forgot to mention that one... I do have Unit type set to F. I ordered a different obd2 adapter and will be trying that today to see if that's the issue. Will report back!

ATF Temp (Trans Temp) on Torque Pro

Hey all! I've been trying to get the trans Temp to work on Torque Pro with a custom PID I've found online. I'm using the following details: PID=21D9 Minimum value= 0 Max value = 300 OBD header= blank Start command = blank Stop command = blank Equation = (((((G*256)+H)*(7/100))-400)/10) The...

    Tune Complete!

I tried going with an OTT tune, but they wouldn't tune me due to the y-pipe I have. They said they won't tune anything with emissions equipment removed, and the Doug Thorley y-pipe removes 2 cats and replace them with just resonators. I went with Yotawerx. Just thought I'd mention that in...

What did you do with your 4runner today?

Yes sir - I did 4.10s as I plan on sticking with 33" tires. Pretty happy with it - kinda curious if I should have gone 4.3 for it to hold 5th better on highway inclines. Haven't gotten a chance to use the locker yet, but have a wheeling trip planned next month!

ABS / TC/ Xmas tree but no CEL

You say your code reader doesn't ready anything from ABS. Do you mean it doesn't find any ABS codes, or it just isn't capable of reading ABS? Those lights all come on when there is an ABS fault. My guess is you need to get a reader to grab the stored ABS codes.

    Help identifying part (v8)

Yeah if I recall correctly it bolts to a stud on the oil cooler and connects to the AC. Something like that.

    Help identifying part (v8)

That's part of the oil cooler mount.

Indicactor lights after timing belt replacement

There are no shortcuts, unfortunately. Take it apart and get all of those marks lined up. If you haven't already, watch Timmy The Toolman's 2uz tutorial. Very helpful and has all the info you need to do the job right.
