Toyota Frame Replacement Research & Tips

Try going to the small claims route. If you are outside the actually city of philly, you can file with your local magistrate. Limit is up to $12k. You can make your case and see where it goes. Best case is Toyota does not show up and you get a default judgement. Would be a couple hundred for...

Conicelli toyota - their website is partznet.com

    Alternator Removal

Not sure why everyone is getting the vapors and gnashing their teeth over this. You have an in-line transmission filter, most likely from a company called Magnefine. It provides a higher level of filtration than the in pan filter and has a built in magnet to help keep your trans fluid...

    Fumoto Drain Valve

I've been running the F103-S, which has the short nipple. Easy enough to hook a hose on it but doesn't stick as far down as the regular N. Just picked up an Oil Udder to avoid the mess of the oil filter as well. You'll be golden with both of them.

    Timing belt kit 4.7

I don't have them but would hit up whoever you buy your timing kit from. They should be able to put it together for you.

    Timing belt kit 4.7

I bought my kit from 'aircabinman' on ebay. Has everything EXCEPT new serpentine belt tensioner and idler. No kit comes with those two parts but are good to have. You will also need some Toyota gasket in a tube called FIPG(?). There is a big write up here: Guide: V8 Timing belt replacement...

    Starter bolts won't budge.

+ 1 on what DerekV said. an air ratchet isn't an impact gun and 70 ft-lbs isn't much. If you leaned on a 2ft bar that would be more than 70 ft-lbs. As an example when I did my timing belt, I had a 1/2" breaker bar, pipe extension and used most of my strength to get it loose - well into...

Is Marion Bumper to Bumper legit?

Best of both worlds - OEM parts that are pressed/assembled for you that make it a bolt on job. Also, depending on the assembler, extras like better grease. Similar to why you would pick CVJ axles with upgraded boots and grease.

    Electrical advise needed

There is a ton of space in front of the aircleaner box behind the passenger side headlight. Would mount the onboard air as the pic above and fuse box on the passenger side.

Secondary Air Injection Pump Failure on V8's! Important!

According to PA DMV, the test is a plug in OBD2 test. As long as you aren't throwing a code you should be fine. PM if you want a shop reco for emissions.

    Juggle between UCA and tires

I would answer: #1. What is placing you in more danger of having an accident or failure - tires or UCA? Both are 'mission critical' parts so I would prioritize safety. More questions: - Are your upper ball joints in need of replacement? if yes -> UCA as a failed UCA can lead to an accident...

    Dark power steering fluid

Are you removing the return hose and filling the resovior as you fill it until the fluid coming out the unhooked return line is red? Power steering system is essentially a closed system with no major contaminants (like combustion you see in engine oil) so you shouldn't be seeing substantial...
