I guess that I should have replied to this thread instead of starting a different one. I've got an '03 sr5 4wd v8 and just got to 200,000. I put every mile on it myself, so don't be telling me that I'm full of it.

v8 SR5 4WD. I would have gotten to the mark a couple of years ago, but moved much closer to work and family.

Well, it took me a year or two longer than expected but I finally hit the 200K mile mark on the ol' 2003. The only thing above regular scheduled maintenance was to change the CV boots. Gotta love that!:guitar2:

How many miles are you guys getting out of your alternators? I've got close to 200K and I'm seriously debating on replacing it. It's a daily driver for my wife and she travels a lot, and I don't need it to break down between home and somewhere a couple of hours away. I just always grew up...

I need to change out my battery clamps. Any suggestions? I've seen some of the fancy speaker and digital models. Didn't know if they were really that much better or if it was simply more bling.

How are you guys packing the joint and boot, and when do you know that you have enough in there? I HAVE to do this upgrade this weekend. Mine is pretty bad, I hope that I didn't cause any damage.

'03 V8 4x4 160K after next week. Still running great. I'm moving closer to family, so hopefully this high mileage thing will come to a slow crawl.

No major issues. Half of the fan speed controls don't work, and the clunking in the drivetrain is getting worse, but besides that I haven't had anything major go wrong (knock on wood). I've taken decent care of it, but could stand to do a little more. I still need to change my brake fluid...

I finally replaced mine at 120k, no kidding. I don't know if it matters, but I rotate every 7,500. Oh, they were not bald. Three of the four had just gotten down to the replacement level so I knew it was time. I've got 30k on the new set, and you can't even tell it.
