Highest Mileage 4th Gen?

Wow! Good to see there's a lot of members on here with more miles than me :biggrin2:. After reading the first page I was like "you've gotta be kidding me!" 03s with like 80k etc. That's nothin!

My 03 just hit 150K. Nice to see the timing belts hold up for the few that waited so long. Good to know... I got too nervous and had mine changed around 94K.

Only real maint. issues have been basically routine.
Timing belt (water pump etc), have the shocks & struts but still need to change out, spark plugs, regular oil changes, rad hoses, diff fluids, front brake pads, tires around 100k, air filters.

non-routine: various bulbs, right front inner cv boot, hood prop cylinders don't hold very well when cold (Haven't changed yet). Sunroof rattles my fillings out.

A/C light flashed on me once. It was extremely hot out, in rush hour traffic, Then had to do some quick accellerating and it flashed, A/C shut off. I drove for a few minutes with it off then turned it back on and all was good. Hasn't happened again since.
Oh yeah, and that damn gas cap fault code... Tightened & went away
Can't think of anything else... I guess that's a good thing!

Edit: Now I'm at 160K

Peter78,
Not sure why someone would lie about mileage on a vehicle for a message board...i can assure you the mileage is real and I've posted pictures showing the miles. I had a friend that purchased the 4runner from an auction a few years back with just over 100k. I bought it from him about 1 1/2 years ago at 170k (he was in sales as well). I'm about to go over 222k.

I did the math today, I drive so much for work that by the time my 07 sport ed is paid off it will have 195,000 miles on it, and Im planning on keeping it for a while after so mine will be piling on some miles...hope it makes it

I agree...why would someone lie? Who knows? I guess that would be their business? But just thought I would add that a pic of the Odometer would definitely authenticate things. :thanks:

03 V8 with 135,000 miles. I purchased it with 85k. I had to replace both front calipers (siezed pistons) and had to pull the sunroof out to un-jam it and regrease it. I have a couple LEDs out on the center consol that I haven't replaced yet. Other than that there have been no "problems". I also changed the timing belt/water pump/etc at around 120k (wow what a pain in the butt!) and a running-light bulb. Getting ready to get new tires and plugs soon and I plan to do all new transmission and diff fluid this winter. I've never driven a car that was so solid and still felt new with 100k+! Way to go Toyota!

for the skeptics out there questioning my mileage, here is the 220k pic that I took a few weeks back:) I still think it's funny (or sad) that we question the validity of a message board post. If there are folks who feel the need to lie on a msg board - they are truly pathetic...

I've got 79k on my '03. Just bought her with 76k. Awesome driver on and off road. She looked like she never saw off-road action at all before she was mine...Love my T4R>>>

Yeah 220,000 is nice!! It just makes my future look all the brighter. So, thanks. And, it is funny to doubt someone on a forum like this. But, nice pic anyways.

I guess that I should have replied to this thread instead of starting a different one. I've got an '03 sr5 4wd v8 and just got to 200,000. I put every mile on it myself, so don't be telling me that I'm full of it.
