Real quick guide to suspension. Springs hold the vehicles weight up. Shocks stop the spring from bouncing excessively. Replacing just your shocks will help the right height then first few 1,000 miles but after that will start sagging again. This is the wrong way of fixing suspension issues...

Not crazy at all and solid job thinking ahead. Belts do age and can fail due to that. It's always better to be on the safe side then putting it off until it fails on your drive home.

Go on a 30min drive at freeway speeds then park the car. Put your hand near each wheel between the spokes of the wheel near the caliper and feel the heat difference. If a caliper is sticking the wheel/brakes are going to be very hot, if everything is working normal the brakes should be "warm".

I just replaced the front brakes and had to order the "larger" rotors. I guess it really comes down to test fitting a wheel on the front to see if it works. Thanks for the help though.

Looking at getting new wheels and I want to drop down to 16inch with the TRD Fj factory wheel. Only thing I am worried about is the fact I have a 05' Limited 4Runner with the larger brakes. So if anyone has more info on this or can tell me the wheels fit I would really be thankful. Thanks, Dan
