Question: 05' Limited w/ FJ TRD 16's?

Looking at getting new wheels and I want to drop down to 16inch with the TRD Fj factory wheel. Only thing I am worried about is the fact I have a 05' Limited 4Runner with the larger brakes.

So if anyone has more info on this or can tell me the wheels fit I would really be thankful.

Are you sure you have the larger brakes? My '03 limited has the small brakes. Only the sport edition is 'guaranteed' to have the big brakes.

If you do have the large brakes then you're not gonna be able to use wheels smaller than 17"

I agree, I just replaced my calipers on the front...you will find a stamp I think

HG & HL are the letters 1 = larger and 1= smaller

I have to say its a close fit for my sport (larger calipers) 17" wheels any smaller and they would not fit! You can however change out the larger front calipers for the smaller/ and cheaper design this should allow for it to fit but I cannot guarantee this. Good luck Buddy! :violin:

I just replaced the front brakes and had to order the "larger" rotors. I guess it really comes down to test fitting a wheel on the front to see if it works.
