There are pretty comprehensive trail maps with difficulty grades so I think we will be ok as long as we stay on the easy trails.

I wouldn't mind doing Hollister, the only thing is that with how rainy it's been it'll be a veritable mud bath. I still have a "custom ceramic" exhaust and caked clay from the last mudding trip I did years ago...

Got it thanks. I think you are right. We have been getting a ton of rain the last few days and I'm sure its going to be a slop fest. Ill wait for El Nino to pass. Gives me more time to armor up anyways.

-2002~2009 Toyota Land Cruiser Prado (J120 or sometimes called "Prado 120")
-2003~2009 Toyota 4Runner (4th gen, J120)
-2007~2009 Toyota FJ Cruiser (J120)
-2005~2009 Toyota Tacoma (J120)
-2003~2009 Lexus GX470 (J120)
-2010~Current Toyota Land Cruiser Prado (J150, or sometimes called "Prado 150")
-2010~Current Toyota 4Runner (J150)
-2010~2014 Toyota FJ Cruiser (J150)
-2010~Current Lexus GX460 (J150)
-2010~2015 Toyota Tacoma (J150)
*2016~Current Toyota Tacoma (J150, I have not seen any official documentation stating platform, but it appears to be a J150 frame with one or two minor changes)
Now you'll notice there's some overlap on a couple models that fall within that model's generation. The reason for this is because Toyota switched to the J150 Frame in 2010 for their line-up with no fanfare beside a cosmetic exterior refresh on some models (FJ & Tacoma being the obvious ones). The reason all you see is a mild refresh on these vehicles is because in terms of actual dimensions of the frames between the J120 & J150, they are dead on identical to each other. I've looked over the Collision Repair manuals for both J120 & J150 vehicles and there's almost no real visual difference (though the 4th gen frame drawings are slightly more simplified than the 5th Gen's so one or two non-critical brackets for like a plastic cover or what-not might be different). Supposedly the J150 Platform is "stronger" than the J120 with some inner channel reinforcements, but until I either see documentation stating where that's been implemented and/or cut aways of both frames, I'm just going to just assume those changes are extremely minor (almost all the new car features for the J150 platform vehicles talk about strengthening the body of the vehicle, not the frame itself; in fact very little to nothing is mentioned about the frames when looking at J150 vehicles "New Car Features.") This is why you can pretty much bolt on anything that fits on a 4th Gen 4Runner to a 5th Gen 4Runner's frame (hell you could literally swap the cabs on the frame and they'll bolt up perfectly fine), not to mention why suspension mods for J120 & J150 vehicles are almost entirely interchangeable between each other (think Tacoma or FJ coils, Upper Control Arms, trailing links, ect.) Now that you have a better idea of the frame that under pins your vehicle, lets move on to the purpose of this thread.

That's the beginning section of this thread:
J120/J150 Platform: A Better Body Mount Chop?
There's also the Toyota120 Forums which is a less trafficked, but still good 4Runner/FJ/Tacoma forum: Toyota 120 Platforms Forum - Powered by vBulletin

Looks like a second stop in El Dorado hills at 9:15 Starbucks by Latrobe Road.
