Yeah, I don't know where they (StellarBuilt) get the numbers from. I had them quote me out a full Dobinsons kit and the install was 750 with a 120 balance. I've been quoted 2-3 hours so they're charging $250 an hour for non-fab work?

$750 for a suspension install? That seems absurd. I’m thinking $350-400 for the 3 hours seems right. That’s 2 hours for the front and an hour for the rear. Can’t imagine it taking much longer than that. That quote settles things from me and I’m going to jump head first into doing it myself.

Did a couple run in Foresthill, just exploring. Was kinda fun and pretty light for anyone looking to get their feet wet. Let me know and I'll go!

I’d be interested too (if I can remember to check in on the forum - been a while since I’ve been on but looking to make it a good wheeling season this summer).

Spring is pretty much here and Foresthill is calling. I'm available most weekends too. Weekdays with some notice.

If the timing works I'd be interested as well. My tires are garbage off-road but seeing that it's a 4Runner that's still doing better than most!

I'm going to head up tomorrow and check things out. I'd like to see how much snow is left past Robinson Flat and hit some side trails but I'm open to whatever. PM me if anyone is interested.

I plan on running Sourgrass trail (off HWY 4 past Arnold) on Sat. 5/29. Anyone interested in joining me?
Edit: details for the run are posted at: https://www.toyota-4runner.org/3637268-post194.html

Unfortunately I am unavailable next week, 5/22. I've been a little apprehensive about doing Signal Peak because of the mixed reviews of difficulty but I think I'd be willing to give it a go some other weekend.

All good, Signal Peak is pretty easy unless the winter screwed up the trail, there is a bypass for the one spot that's somewhat difficult. I've been there a dozen times.

Sounds good. Want to shoot for 5/28/2021? That's the Friday before Memorial Day.
