I'll try to explain. I'd equate URE to hiking trail with obstacle/confidence/ropes course type obstacles along the way, but you can usually opt to bypass them if you don't feel up to it. This holds true for most of the trails there, with the exception of maybe the worst parts of Daniels.
Gulches on the other hand, I'd equate more to a ski slope with terrain park type obstacles all over the place. It's a man made park with hand cut trails.
So yes, you will be able to traverse the entire park to get to either ends of difficult trails and areas, but I wouldn't call them actual bypasses or bail-out areas per-say like what Uwharrie has. Hope that makes sense.
I'm getting pumped. This is gonna be awesome!

Awesome, the trip is starting to grow! Gulches and Skip ARE awesome! Glad to have you coming.
I used to live in Summerville. Moved back from there in 2011. I'm originally from this (Charlotte) area. Anyway, see you there dude!

saw a 3rd gen a lot like yours last time I was at Gulches. Don't think it was you though. The guys was maybe from around Greenwood area. Had a yukon zip locker in the rear. That was his expedition rig. He had a dedicated trail truck as well.

I'm getting more and more excited thinking about this.
On a side note, are all of y'all using CBs? I've got a cobra 75 I'm about to put in, but I don't know that I'll have the mount and coax in and installed before. I'm gonna try, but not promises.

i have a CB. it sits in a box in my garage.
i use the window roll down feature for communications on the trails at Gulches. if you are in a big park or forest, with a bunch of people, makes sense. def not a necessity at Gulches though.

Yeah no need for a CB there. You could basically yell across the whole park.
