Big Milestone!
Since I have been around t4r.org for almost 9 years, I feel like I have grown up here. Just wanted everybody to know that I graduated medical school this past week and accomplished my ultimate goal (hence the reason for my lack of posts for some weeks!) I am still going to be driving my 4Runner for years to come and hopefully caring for her the same way. Oh, and hopefully I will be here for another 9 years Just thought I would give everybody an update since we are all family!

great now your out of school and going to get a job that pays the big bucks, just make sure you pick up a 5th gen so you'll have a reason to hang around for a bit longer, lol.
all of the recent engineering grads that start at my company always have some new sports car or flashy suv after about 6 months on the job, haha, must be the thing to do i guess.

Never got this phenomena... Finally have some cash... Blow it all on a car payment and credit car interest. Fail.

Gratzi Mark!
That's fantastic that you graduated. Now the fun begins. What field did you decide to go into? I do trauma myself. Be careful though, ER life will burn you out fast.
Wilderness Medicine is fun, exciting and an ever growing field. Something to think about. You could always go the money route and do R&D. Then you could pay cash for that new flashy sports car in 6 months.
You could always become a proctologist...

Wow...yeah, it seemed just like yesterday when you told me that you are going into the medical field! Congrats!! Pick the field that you like. The biggest thing is that you need to move to a state that has tort reforms (Texas and Florida come to mind).
Good luck Mark...and as always, feel free to PM me if you have any questions. Oh yeah, now is a good time to get a sugar Momma to pay off your loans!

Thank again everybody!
Ironback: I hope to specialize in GI, which means I will be dealing with the same end as a proctologist! I am starting my internal medicine residency this July. I took an ER elective during my fourth year but couldn't see myself doing it for the long haul. Trauma was very interesting though! My school offered a wilderness medicine elective- too bad I didn't take it.
Thai- thanks, I will take you up on the offer I am training in NJ, so that is probably where I will end up. Not a friendly place for doctors! As for the sugar momma, still looking.....
