Any ideas or thoughts that you guys have that will make this forum better, more functional, more user friendly? Another forum I visit once in a while has a chat box on the top of the main screen. I thought that was pretty cool so the active members can chat about whatever.
Post up your ideas and lets see how we can improve this forum.

Make the "QUICK REPLY" Box at the bottom actually work because it doesn't work as of yet.

@ hulk311
, just replied with quick reply. You need to click on the icon with a pencil, to the right of Edit and Quote buttons within the post you want to reply to.

I believe he was referring to not having to click the quick reply button to use the box. Some forums have the quick reply always "on" and all you have to do is click in the text field to start typing.

That assumes you're always replying to the last post. Aren't you replying to a particular post, and also may want to quote it? By always having it on, the system wouldn't know which post to quote.
I don't think having to click an icon is a big deal. The idea of quick reply is not to get redirected to another page in order to reply to a post.

I agree it's of no inconvenience to me.

@ admin
I've always figured if you wanted to reply to a specific post, you quote or multi-quote. Quick reply just makes a new post.
I find having to hit the button to make a quick reply a huge pain. The main reason is because I've typed up a nice long post with my phone and as soon as I hit submit, it reloads the page and has a dialog box that pops up telling me to "please click on quick-reply before making a post" or something to that effect. Then I have to reload the page because no matter how many times I click on the button, the box stays grayed out til I refresh and start over. I've learned to copy my text before posting. Sometimes it happens multiple times and I just give up. That is THE only gripe I have truly ever had about the site. I understand I may be just one of two that don't like it, but figured I'd voice my opinion here
see, it did it again. I've tried posting twice now.

Perhaps the "General Chat" forum name should be changed to "General T4R Chat" or "General 4Runner Chat"
that should stop the random posting or at least cut it down a good deal because both the off topic and general forums appear to be one and the same, unless you read a sticky. but who reads stickies?

I've brought this up before and been ignored, but I would really love to not have to click that button. This is the only vB forum I spend any time at that forces you to hit a button in order to quick reply, what's the point of that?
If I want to quote a post, I'll hit quote. The quick reply box isn't for quoting, it's for a quick reply. Having to hit another button isn't quick.

I agree on the quick reply. This is the only forum I post on that is setup this way. If you click the quote button you are redirected to a new page anyway.

At the bottom of the page (below the last post, above the quick reply part) it would be nice to have a feature that shows who is viewing a thread. TW has this and its nice!
For example it would say..
Currently Viewing this thread: 4 Members and 7 Guests, Then list the members.
