I ordered a couple of holsters from Garrett Industries and will report back once I get them. @Dawg4Runner is a bad influence. I'll have to work on my photography skills while I wait...

Is a holster always essential? Last night when I ran to the hood grocery I just tucked it in waistband holster free. Also, is there anything worse than a hood grocery at the beginning of the month?

The only thing worse is actually living in the hood... where our first apartment was.

I like to know my gun will be where I put it, even with lots of movement.

It'd be pretty embarrassing to drop your piece down a pants leg while in line at the register - much less the fact it could cause a panic (or worse, especially in "the hood"). I don't want to have to hunt for my protection when I need it - nor do I want to create a panic in the grocery store because I didn't property stow my pistol.

Not to mention the potential for legal trouble.

I tried an ankle holster with a G26 before and the velcro worked loose after walking around for 30 minutes. Luckily my jeans caught it before it fell out completely... won't do that again.

I have heard that in some states people can press charges for assault if they see your pistol or rifle whether it's concealed or not. I guess the gov does that to try and deter people from carrying.

Unlawful display can be very broadly interpreted - best not to leave it to the discretion of a LEO. Luckily some gun-friendly states are making "oopses" more forgivable.

I carry my glocks in a CompTac Minotaur and my sig in either a Don Hum clip holster or a Desantis IWB. The Minotaur is by far the best IWB I have found.

ndcent, c'mon man. I KNOW you are smarter than this. If you are going to take on the responsibility of carrying a loaded pistol, at least make sure it is carried securely and in a holster that protects the trigger guard. Sticking it down the front of your pants is not a good mode of carry.

I know, stupid in retrospect. I have slim fit pants and a tight wide leather belt, never felt I was in danger of having it drop down my pant leg for my ten minute shop but yeah, use the Galco always.

Thanks DADS!

Lol Reminds me of that scene from Pulp Fiction when Jules and Vincent were walking out of the Coffee Shop after the robbery, stuffing their pistols into their gym shorts.
