Well, they are at the top of the main Classifieds forum page and every subforum page. I think the problem is people don't pay attention to the banners, notices, etc because they are used to them or just used to ignoring them regardless of the forum they are in.

This forum's rules are a lot more relaxed than other sites I've been on. In one car forum, you had to post a picture of the item with a piece of paper showing your user name and the current date and it had to be reviewed by a mod before it could even be activated. I think learning 3 rules is a lot easier.

they aren't at the top of the main classified section. that's where I was looking for them to be. I had to click an individual section, then I found them.

You literally have to pass that message at least thee times before you are able to post something for sale.

I think any normal buyer is interested in the condition of the item so I fail to see how that is out of line.

A pic might be inconvenient, but I think it's a good policy so we can mark that one as agree to disagree.

Yes, they are. I also Moderate on Toyota Nation and it's much stricter there, but then it's also much larger. The Corolla people can really get out of hand, but the truck and SUV folks are pretty mellow.

I don't look for a 'FS' in the title or wether pics are attached (it's to the Sellers advantage to do so). The biggest request from members was to have the price and location in the title.

But when a post is just titled "wheels and tires", that's lame.

sure a buyer will want to know the condition, but how is that the forums business? same with the pic, where do they get off saying a seller must provide a pic?

I don't think that there is a single mod here that gloats with power. Thanks for pointing that out though. For the most part, if any one of us gets out of line there are a couple other mods that reel us back in. I think we do a good job of keeping each other in line and working as a team to keep things straight.

Also, for the most part unless a f/s thread is completely jacked up then it's not messed with. Myself and a few other mods won't touch a thread unless it's missing 2 or more things. The rules are easy: Correct thread title, price, pic, location, description. I don't understand how it's so complex? Besides, that is what a number of members have asked for.

Once again, this is a prefect example of how not everyone can be pleased. We make one group happy and upset another. Guys, we are here to help make this place better. Instead of whining and complaining and trash talking the mods how about you grow up and just follow a few simple steps to help make this a better site?

See rule #4 - inactive threads are deleted after 90 days, possible a mod deleted it for that reason.

IDK about you, but I hate seeing ad that's like "wheels for sale" - many buyers are pissed and rightfully so about the lack of information. Its really easy to follow these rules. I dont think @TOY2G 's thread should have been deleted for lack of "FS" but I hate seeing posts that are like "CAN YOU POST PICS" "WTF IS THIS ITEM" "WHERE ARE YOU LOCATED" "WHAT IS THE PRICE" - many other members would appreciate that info in the OP, hence the rules

anyway, @PhdNPrerunners , I found your thread - it was deleted because the item was SOLD. I can get you information from the thread, PM me if you want it. For future reference when items are sold I generally lock the thread instead of deleting it.

Mine got deleted because I messed up, I said that and own it. And the mods on this particular form are not near as power hungry as I have seen in the past, but I do see it. My point was, when you take the time to make a listing, upload pics, write an entire description of mods, write all the information pertaining to the vehicle you are selling...... Don't be a thread natzi. Especially If it's an active member with hundreds or thousands of post. Point out where the messed up and let them fix it. Make decision for the betterment of the community, not just because you can.

Now.....ban me or I will just keep ramblening on about this crap.

EDIT: FWIW, if you are selling a vehicle the price and location should be in the initial post for sure but not in the title. You want people to look at you vehicle that's for sale and you don't want them to not even look at it based on price or location. If you're vehicle shopping on the forum and see a vehicle for sale that you may want.....take a peak inside. As far as I know you cannot edit your title...(right). So let's say I'm selling my 1998 SR5 and in my title I say "FS. 1998 SR5 Ohio 4x4 $9000". But after a few bumps and people passing it by because of the price in the title, I drop the price to $4500. The title still says 9k... Price in title for vehicles should not be required, it should simply have to be included in the original post.

Hm also though I didn't quote it, price in the title could be annoying, I see that if it changes, I had that issue but used my magic mod powers to change it. You can always PM us to change that stuff, but I could see how that would annoy you guys as well as the mods
