Question Camper Trailer Mirror Camera

Odd title, I know but I don't want this to be another mirror thread. I'm wondering if anyone uses a camera in place of mirrors to see what's going on behind the trailer as mirrors do. They're used in RV's and such and would be my best solution since I prefer my little rat rod mirrors rather than the huge stock ones. Anyone with a 5 foot passenger knows their vision is pretty much blocked all the time. Real life experience anyone?

Yes.

No idea but that would be nice, you would have to figure out how to connect the camera to your monitor which wouldn't be too bad since you would just need a quick disconnect at the hitch.

i use a go pro with a suction cup mount and my phone to view the video feed. works well for backing it up, and the suction cup holds really well on the body

I have a 360 degree camera system from Rydeen installed. It displays to the nav unit and I can see top down plus rear, front or either side all the time. A bit overkill but it is helpful on the trail! Bimrunner Build Thread & Pics
