Anyone who has been paying attention to the news is aware of the terrorist group called ISIS (Islamic State of Iraq and Syria). They have become very aggressive and are increasingly making threats toward westerners especially Americans. Some recent news on the topic in case you are not aware of what has been developing:

I don't know much on the topic, but I am aware of what is going on. The way I see it, there is a threat to our country; that needs to be taken seriously. Regardless of where it came from, it should at least still be looked into. Whether its authentic or not, or even if its just a sick fanboy, we never really know when these things escalate. The best thing we can do is just to pursue every lead. I hate leaving things up to the government but it seems thats the main option right now. We'll just have to see how things pan out here...:shrug:
 
I live in Texas and I speak from experience when I say that the border has got to be sealed one way or another. Say what you want about Rick Perry, but he absolutely took serious action (by putting the Texas National Guard on the Rio Grande) when The Douche In Chief chose to ignore it. And when we are dealing with another 2 or 3 thousand dead Americans, Obama will blame the House of Representatives, and then go golfing.
 
Something that has been bothering me is, ISIS is now demanding money for another U.S. Citizen, a female and they are asking something like 27 million dollars.

Now is it just me, or maybe it's just being aired more but it seems that ever sense obama negotiated a deal for the 5 gitmo prisoners to our one marine that terrorist are starting to demand we negotiate with them. Did he open a can of worms by breaking our laws? Was a signal sent that we now negotiate for people.

And it's a tuff question because if it were my loved one I'd want to negotiate, but at the same time am I risking the lives of hundreds or thousands for my own selfish desires.

I wish I could find the "open letter to ISIS". That a former military serviceman wrote.

He basically told them that the U.S. Has a 20 million strong veteran society that would gladly take up arms to any foreign invasion.

By the way obama was quoted calling them "JV"......

I'm not Muslim and to each is own but I think these degenerates are taking it to their own extreme and believe. Any person can take an extreme point of view and become a radical. It's harder to do if Christian or Budhist but it's doable if you have the intention.

We were all born humans and don't embody a religion until a certain ceremony has taken place.

ISIS is a plague and needs to be eliminated. I'm not generally pro violence in anyway, as violence tends to promote violence but these degenerates don't seem to have reason or humanity in them to negotiate. I have extended family that is directly impacted by this situation and it's definitely tragic to say the least. This is beyond religion, these people are just mentally ill, in my opinion. Its like taking all the Asylum's in the world and forming a new government.

Watch this video, it will send chills down your spine. The guy in the video is obviously Muslim based off the Religious figure on top of him, thats why I say it's more of a radical movement using religions as an excuse

This is big, and it's only a matter of time before a major incident occurs.

Life will change after that.

All this soft-ass pandering to everybody's feelings & wishes as they infiltrate our country has got us here.

Not enough firmness on our part to have everyone coming in to integrate to our way of life. Instead, we allow our way of life to erode to help them to feel welcome.

Now we are seeing the Muslim & Islamist population grow. The reality is we have become weak, and we stand for nothing anymore. The American way of life has no singular meaning (anymore). Now it's baseless, materialistic, pointless. Perfect breeding ground for this evil infection to take hold.

Right about when enough people figure it out, it will be too late.

Be prepared folks. Like it or not, it's coming...and it isn't going to be nice.

Sadly I couldn't agree with you more...

It's heartbreaking to see 5 year olds talk about wanting to kill Americans. I agree our "PC" ways have weakend our country. We need a man with a firm hand and rigid backbone to once again run this country, someone that would cancel a "tee time" rather then give a hastily news conference 8 minutes before the first ball is hit. On that note, I think it's the fastest our current president has ever moved in his life, out of suit and into golf clothes and teeing off in less then "8" minutes.....something has got to give, and I hope it's his pride rather then our country's safety.

Do you really believe that if we kept to ourselves, and abandoned all US interests abroad, that would prevent Islamic terrorists groups from attacking and/or killing American citizens (abroad or at home)? When Israel abandoned the Gaza back in 2005, did that stop the Hamas from attacking and killing Jews? And while I am at it, have you read the Koran? I suggest you do so that you understand what we are dealing with. Muslims can say they are the religion of peace, but the behavior that Mohammed (the prophet) not only encouraged, but mandated should horrify everyone.
