I had a blast today riding in the blizzard on my 4x4 quad. I stopped in a Irish pub for a beer before the long ride back home.

Miss those days. Seem to happen a lot more often when I was a kid moreso then now. We used to drive all backroads and be out for 5-7 hours just riding around with family/friends. Lately we haven't had an storm come close to do this in.

That's awesome. I doubt you could get away with that in any Canadian city. I believe ATV's in Nova Scotia can only use roads to get to a trail and are otherwise banned from roads unless you live in a rural area that has impassable roads.

I miss the occasional drive down a backroad covered in a few inches of newly fallen snow with the occasional deeper drifts. And sitting alone in the woods as the snow starts to fall is so peaceful, it really helps clear your mind.

But I don't miss the cold, the shoveling, basically all the other un-fun stuff a northern winter brings with it. Although, oddly enough I always liked cutting up trees and splitting a few logs for a fire. Wouldn't do it for a living, but a couple times a year I found it enjoyable for some reason.

ATV's are illegal to ride on any public street, road, ect... in Maryland unless a Phase 1 or Phase 2 State of Emergency is issued then a ATV can be used for transportation. Phase 3 no vehicles except emergency vehicles are allowed on the roads. Phase 3 was in effect but only during night hours.

I wish we got some of that snow here in NW CT!!
All that snow, I would have brought out the snowmobile and enjoyed it!!
