drinks at fast food places are gettin way too big...they dont fit in my cupholder...and in the 94 the cup holder is suspended above everything...just today i was drivin back from taco bell...and the drink jumped off the cup holder...because it doesnt sit all the way in...it sucks...all the newer T4R's have nice big ones...im jealous...

Many 4th gen owners have complained about the cupholders on this forum.
IMO they are among the best I have seen. Big enough for virtually any commercial drink size (I even fit my Coleman Golf Cat catalytic heater in the holder for 4Runner camping trips!), adjustable settings, rubber inserts, and lights.

I agree, I love the fact you can fit 32oz Gatorade bottles in them, havent seen too many vehicles that can do that.

There needs to be more adjustment in the center piece to better accommodate different size drinks and there should be cutouts in the side of the console so those of us who use mugs with handles don't have to keep them in our hand while driving.

I absolutely love the cupholders in my 4R. I've never had a drink in there that wouldn't fit.
I especially love them after driving my '94 Supra around on the weekends...NO cupholders! Not one! Sucks driving a stick and holding a hot cup of coffee at the same time, all the while paranoid of spilling it in my car!
