I was gone all day late wed. nite . Had a customer call and wanted a detail on her Trailblazer EXT. I told her I would not be home so to drop it off in my driveway and I'll move it and lock it up when I get home.

Anyway I moved it to a different section of the driveway and was amazed how cheap it felt compared to the 4R. Everything felt so cheap !

I traded a Chevy Blazer in for my 4R and it was like night and day with relations to build quality. Granted my Chevrolet was 8 years old and still in fairly good shape. I feel like my 4R will hold up much better after 8 years or at least I hope so.

I'm starting to get into the detail......the fit and finish and this thing is terrible ! I know its never been hit either....OMG !!

I think the 4th gens are made a little better than the 3rd gens and my '99 has been on the road almost 8 years and at 120k everything still works like it did new and of course it helps to maintain any vehicle well but Toyotas just don't "fall apart".

I work for an insurance company and all of the field people get Chevrolet Trailblazers and after the warranty is up or after 3 years I don't know how they figure it out but anyway they offer the vehicles to the employees here and a couple have come through with low mileage and I looked at them right before my wife and I decided on the 4Runner because the Trailblazers are fairly cheap price wise. Well after looking at one and riding in one that a guy in my department bought I would never waste my money on one. I spent 18.9 on our 03 4Runner and I would consider the money so much better spent on that than if I were to buy one of the newer Trailblazers for less money. I think they are so cheap on the inside and the fact that the spare is full size but doesn't match the rest is just tacky. Just my .02

Finished the detail and delivered it to customer tonight........It looks clean & pretty atleast. No knocking anyone elses truck , but sure am thankful for what I have.

My Mom has one and she loves it , but I'm trying to convert them to Toyota. I was reading some test results and it rated as one of the 3 worst off road SUVs , the other 2 were the Ford Exedition and the Explorer Sport trac.

The Chevy Trailfaker does ride better on the highway than our 4Runner does. That's about the only plus they have over the Toyota.

brakes are horrible and the steering is rediculous. Ex of mine had one and It took all my will power to not just run it into a wall since she wanted a 4runner.

We have a company vehicle for my office. We got it last year in September and it is a 2006 Trailblazer. I notice some cheap things compared to my 2001 4Runner. After a year, I would say it has done O.K. to pretty good. It rides nicer than my 3rd geneation 4Runner, it has no real bad traits. After 16,000 miles it gets about 16 MPG about 3 MPG less than my 4Runner. The seat belts are hard to get to, the brakes squeal and the rear wiper turns on for no apparant reason. Still, the Trailblazer has served our office well and people still like to drive it. I guess the biggest concern would be it's long term reliability. I guess we will see how that goes.

Word from the Motor Trend magazine snoops report section has it the GM is going to discontinue the TrailFaker and Envboy. As soon as the theta platforms fully make their way to the showrooms in the next two years then the trailfaker is gone because of declining sales.

Those things are everywhere around here. I dont see many envoys though,probably because there are not as many GMC dealers here.

A guy I work with had a '03 trailblazer with a factory defect on the rear brakelight. It took the dealer a while to figure out what the problem was, but they finally fixed it. Well 2 years later he traded it in and bought an '05 trailblazer (didnt learn his lesson i guess). He had the exact same problem with his '05!!! You would think two years later they would have fixed the issue..I guess not.

On the same note my in-laws had one and they actually had a recall on the tailights, so they had the recall done. Maybe a couple months later they had another recall on the recalled tailights. Recalls...ok it happens. But recalls on recalled parts...yikes, thats not so good!
