Tinted Windshield

Just wondering, Why would anyone tint their windshield with limo tint?

To film a car commercial.

I once put 50% film on the windshield of a Doge Charger that had 6% tint on the rest of the windows. It made driving at night much easier.

Yes!.....it's awesome here in the Desert as it really blocks the heat. The windshield is the biggest source of heat so it pays off.

I wonder the same thing, why would you not want to see well at night.

Years ago I asked in CA about clear UV protection, but there basic answer was still 'no windshield tint'.

I have the clear.. I think technically it’s 5 percent UV blocking tint on my F250.. you don’t really notice it at night and it does block out a lot of heat down here in South Florida.

Doesn't ALL windshield block 99%-100% of UV?

It is only the side windows that varies between cars...with Toyota being really generous in this area. I think that all Toyota side windows block 90% UV or something like that. BMW being one of the worst for side windows.

I have 50% on my windshield. I can see fine - day or night - or even in my garage with only ambient light.
