I think Ill need to go to rehab since Ive been eating too many subs and now I don't know what to do If I don't have one for lunch ... unless I have pizza :D

Have you tried Great American Hero on Lemmon Ave. in Dallas? It's pretty good. I don't know if it's up to Jersey standards but I liked going there for lunch before I retired.

I couldn’t find a good photo.
I would get a half loaf Italian, provolone cheese, ham, capricola, proscutto with lettuce, tomato, roasted peppers or sweet peppers with vinegar and oil.

Yeah, and the lockdown responses to covid don’t help the little guys. Your local and locally-owned restaurant is where the best food is. And right now, it’s where at least some of your money should go.
 
This thread motivated me to buy some ham, mortadella, salami, provolone, lettuce, heirloom tomatoes, and freshly baked French bread…

You do not have Thumann's ham (Must be sliced THIN) there.:whistle:
That IS the sandwich.

Do you even have Boar's Head there?


There are places here that use Dietz & Watson coldcuts, and you can get a 16" sub for like $8, but they SUCK. :faint2:

A lot is in the bread. (water)
We have great Portuguese, Italian and French bakeries around here.

I should start an overnight sammich shipping business.

And world class bakeries.

But I went to Safeway.
