Not a bad idea in that shitty east coast winter weather. Current batteries to get capacity reduced in those temps. A better idea is to get a heavy vehicle, two winches, winter tires, and pull people out of ditches and sides of roads.

In the metro areas the vehicle recovery service is probably riskier. More likely to get sued if you damage a vehicle. Plus most people usually slam into guardrails ay high speeds because they sprung for the AWD option to make up for their summer tires. They need a tow truck at that point.

It is a thread about vehicles, bandwagons and more, but there are certain motivations behind EV's.
I don't give two flying-****s about any politician, as I am a big boy and wish they would stay out of & interfering in MY life, and I am not upset as I learn what makes others tick. Be it about cars, guns, off-roading, camping, 4Runners, Jeeps, Land Rovers...
(No criminal here... Never have even been in the back of a police car, I just value freedom above all else)

I needed to focus on financial freedom.
I noticed one thing about 4Runner owners on this forum... Many are self-sufficient as they are still modding their rigs during lockdown. As long as they have clear/no debt, it is all good.

Nobody is holding a gun to our heads forcing us to read threads last I checked.
Perhaps there is an underlying motivation?:hiding:

It is a 4Runner forum. People here that claim to be "green" are nothing more than hypocrites. It's like us shitting on Jeeps... but on EV's.
19MPG could be better, but there are so many pitfalls of electric powered vehicles that many do NOT see.
One nuke accident and all that "green" is negated. Plus the fuel/control rod storage... and the brownouts/blackouts... Road paving options since asphalt is oil... Taxes/insurance by mile driven in the future (which people should be up in arms about)... Taxes on EV's as they don't pay fuel tax to help repair the roads they use.

Anyway, my thought crime limit has been reached for the day...:police:

I'm out of the race days, but working on engines and trannies is a fun learning journey.

You could look through our mutual posts as well as his interactions with others and see my point. It's not about politics all the time, it's about trolling and general abusive/disruptive behavior most of all the time.

The problem is that he believes he's the sole authority on what is or is not acceptable here, and he's also wrong in those beliefs.

Listen to me, or don't. Consequences come around for all of us. Just ask Jetboy and Mutant 138.

Who knows why Jetboy and Mutant were banned? I have no clue, and can’t recall anything they said that was particularly offensive.

They were banned for repeatedly disobeying an admin. If you follow their post history you can see the exchange. It's the same admin that has told people here to cease the politics, so don't say I didn't warn you.

I haven’t hated on them, nor have I driven one. But then, I’ve hardly driven anything I didn’t own. I can imagine that they’re superior in some ways, but probably not vastly superior.

Colors, labels, noises, words etc offend people.
It seems some people actually enjoy being a victim, when in reality, nobody really cares.

It's like talking to a Transsexual and calling them their birth sex, they will correct you to their current sex, which is male or female usually.
The "BI" part inherently means two sexes/genders.
Tell one you don't know what the "B" stands for and they will name two sexes/genders.

Yet at the same time, they try to tell our children there are over 100 sexes/genders.
