Post your tattoo!

on another forum i am a member of they have this thread. figured i would start it here. just post a picture, and a description of what it means to you. here are mine:

so here are all of mine.

my first one, my birthday. it was spur of the moment. but i always wanted it. and i still like it. and no its not "in case i forget"... everyone makes that joke... ha... ha... ha.
it is on my inner right ankle.

my second one is one my sister and i got together. hers is on her wrist. mine is on my outer right calf.
the elephant stands for power, strengh, family, and so forth. the 2 and 1/2 stars is our age difference, and the sun and moon is because we are
two totally differnet people (night and day)

this was my third one. i decided to have it done while the elephant was getting touched up. it was fast and simple. its my last name. i designed the font. i just really like it.plus it matches my birthday haha. its on my inner left ankle.

and this one i just got yesterday on my inner right calf (above my bday). its a heart and scalpel. i got the idea from a song called "sell you beautiful" by RX Bandits. i am against changing your looks (ie plastic surgery) just because society says to. "your tits are not big enough, therefore youre ugly!" kinda nonsense. i am all about being oneself and not conforming to society and hollywood. so that is what this is for.if you alter your appearance to make yourself fit in, you are killing your heart.

"Baby, you know if you’re not beautiful
Just cover it up
With make-up kits and perforated scalpel seams
We’ll do you right up
I’m so obsessed with looking like celebrities
Make myself throw up
But it’s all right cause one day
I know I’ll be fine, like everyone else"

Looked, but this is honestly the best pic I could find. It's my first and only tat. It's a killer whale. I tried to combine some Japanese styling with some NW Native American styling. The reasons were that I'm a Japanese-American who was born and raised in the Pacific Northwest.

I got this one after my stepdad passed away from a brain anurism (spelln) ruptured in his brain then giving him a bi-lateral stroke making him brain dead :*(. his last name was Wolfe and he had a wolf tattoo on his shoulder so I got one as well in memory of him. RIP Michael Yule Wolfe. you were a great dad and inspiration. Oh yea it also has my family nickname on there b/c im the youngest so i was always called rugrat "rug" for short

Isn't this irony though, altering your body by permanently inking it to show your against altering your appearance? I have nothing against tattoos just curious. And I don't have any so I'm not saying ill understand.

Just two of mine, the most recent two, fresh ink ...

Right forearm: my family clan's badge - following my family tree back to Scottish roots, Clan Mackay (pronounced mac-EYE). "Manu forte" means "with strong hand"

Left forearm: a celtic knot symbolizing eternity, with my wife's (Domenica) and our kids' names.

Couple that are related to my Scottish/Irish/English ancestory.
I had these put on as a celebration of 50 years on this rock.
