like the FJ Summit??? for T4R

I know the summit is an open Toyota event now, but would it not be cool if there were a T4R event.

My thoughts
1: number of T4R owners vs. number of FJ Owners in the US
2: Dealers are becoming more interested in supporting events
3: Ouray (as a possible location) supports Toyota events based on past Toyota support to the local business (and Ouray Mountain Res)
4: We could start out as an open Toyota event (not Just 4x4) for all T4Rs, FJs and Trucks


One problem I see is I would not want to step on the Summit guys. Seth, Jarred, Tim and the rest of the: guys have been great leaders. Perhaps we do a T4R event on the back of the Summit to keep from spreading the base too thin.

Am I way out in left field on this? I have been doing this along time (former VP TTORA) and the T4R needs an event.:redbrick:

I think this would be a great idea and would be perfect to have it the week before or the week after the Summit. Count me in! Tim and Jarred are past FJ organizers and have 4Runners now and could possibly help with the planning or give up some event contacts. There were actually a couple of FJ people complain that us 4Runners were there this year over on the FJ forum. Alot of chaos over on that forum at the moment!

Maybe you should repost this in the General section. Only fifty some people saw this over here and I don't usually check the polls sub forum either.

I forgot about this thread...sorry..

We are still talking about doing this, and getting Toyota support the down side is the summit opens up this year to all Toyota owners and thus includes us T4R guys.....Seth and Jarred are there every year and do a great job at making the event a blast, Even Tim T, one of the event organizers is a T4R guy with a nice modded 5th gen trail ed.

I will get back to this when we have had a bit more time to put into it..
