This feels like t4r.org LITE. The Google forum-specific search we have enjoyed must have been a paid service that this site no longer deems worth providing. Sad.

Have we lost the Search function or is it buried under fluff?

I'm guessing the new forum software doesn't support it.
I just tried the "search" function of the new software and it seems to work fine.

the "Goggle" search he's referring to only searched these forums anyways, not the internet.

You are right - it does work. I think it was set to search Member or something and I didn't really give it a chance

Does this no longer work? (worst case, you can still do a similar version that catches threads from the whole forum)

You can use Google to search a specific site:
site:website.com your search keywords
Example:
site:https://www.toyota-4runner.org/threads gen4 shifter repair
site:website.com your search keywords

Closing the loop on search: the site owner decided not to bring back the old Google search box. The built-in forum search (the Search button top right) is the search on the new platform, and it covers all the old threads. If something you search for doesn't turn up, post the search terms here and we'll look into it.
