  • shit, I just saw your initial response...after posting to your other message. Nice, it would be great to be able to do it myself and have the tools and facility to do it in. How's biz in your profession? I was let go recently and am kind of feeling around for what I might do next. Oh oh, why no to Kaltire??? I bought some rims there about a month ago and haven't had any issues...I'm thinking 2-1/2 to 3" hopefully, I like a little bit of rake visually plus when the backs loaded down with gear etc it'll still be level. I bought an extended warranty with the truck so I'd rather keep the x-reas plus in a few years I'd like to move to a Tacoma so the more factory the truck the better I think. I appreciate the help, that's been the hardest part, finding a reputable shop to do the work. hey, do you know of any decent spots to wheel near by? My name is Chris by the way... :)
haha thats funny I sent you a message before I realized you had messaged me.
I dont have XREAS. I'm a heavy duty mechanic and planning on installing the lift myself at my work. dont take your truck to kal tire! it depends if you're planning on keeping the XREAS, or just getting rid of it? also depends on how much lift you want. you could do a 2inch spacer or spring lift in the front, and keep the rear stock, and the truck will probably sit level. if you;re wanting to get rid of the XREAS and put in lift springs, I dont see it being all that hard....however you may have a hard time convincing a "shop" to remove that factory equipment.
I have a friend that owns/operates a shop, I will ask him if he would be interested in installing a lift
    Hey BLK_LBL,

Checked out your profile and saw that you're in Edmonton as well...good to see another Albertan here and welcome to the forum! I'm looking at the ToyTec as well and thought I'd pass on some info...I don't know if you have Xreas or not but if you do the only place I've found so far that will touch it is Kaltire...they have a lift as well but I can't remember what brand it is. I think all told it was about 800 bucks installed...
