0 miles on new rebuild! vacuum ??'s

Hi all,

I just finished assembling my recently fully rebuilt 22re, on my '87. I'm so excited to have a new heart in this thing. I bought it in AZ, it's been there all it's life. I live in CA though. So I'm working on the vacuum system since it wasn't hooked up correctly from the prior owner.

The question I have: can anyone tell me if I'm missing any components to this vacuum/emissions setup? My buddy up the street has an extra component on his '87. It's the piece that is mounted to my valve cover at rear of engine on drivers side (has two vacuum lines and an electrical connection. I only have 1, he has two on his long time CA truck. Are 2 needed?

Anything else you can observe here?

appears you might be missing one of the vacuum switching valves. right now, the power steering/AC idle up hoses are connected to that driver's side rear VSV. the fuel pressure regulator should be connected to it, and there should be a second VSV for the ps/ac switch.

that "middle" ps/ac valve should also have an electrical connector (as should the rear "4wd VSV". no idea which is connected to the switch on yours.
