'00 Ltd, auto, 135k - what to check?

Hi, I'm planning to buy this Sat in Delran NJ a 2000 ltd, auto, elocker. I'm flying to Pick up this car.

Can someone tell me what to check specific to this year, model? - I already did the sticky notes and the buying guide.big thanks to all who have been contributing to the guide.

The vin report shows timing belt was "checked" at 79k. The seller says this is the standard verbiage carfax uses. He even send me a a picture of the sticker but the mileage written on it is with a very blurry red ink.

The car looks very good in pictures and I would appreciate anything you would advise me to check.

If it has a sticker, it was most likely done. They don't put a sticker on the cover to say they checked it.

Sounds like you're good to go. Check the ball joints, CV's, steering rack for leakage, rear axle seals, rust, check oil, tranny, coolant, etc. Timing belt was "checked"??? what does that mean. What's that blurry red ink say? Blur? Be prepared to do timing belt, belts and water pump. Talk him down a good $1000 if that's not been done.

I have a picture of the sticker but I'm working from a tablet and have no clue how to attach it.
Thank you both. I'll try to see if I can hire a mechanic for an hour to check it better for me and I'll keep an eye on the cv, ball joints

Like you mention when purchasing mine I pretty much looked at this for days.

Ball joints,Climate Control, and radiator are the biggest. Model specific the climate control. Good rule to follow, if no receipts , it didn't happen and talk down from there.

I flew to get my 3rd gen and drove 5+ hours home. overall, it was worth it because I was able to get the exact truck i wanted ( 2000 LTD 4wd w/e-locker) overall I just grilled the seller about every little detail, asked for lots of pics, etc. Mine was at a little dirt-lot dealer and they met me in the vehicle, let me drive it and look over it for as long as I wanted. A few things were mis-represented, mainly the cleanliness of the interior, but overall it went well. I have spent many many hours cleaning my interior to make it up to my standards, but that's about it.

Make sure you buy a round-trip ticket just in case things don't go well.

Check all fluids and breaks and ball joints I know I got my 2000 with 135k had to do timing belt, water pump, full tune up, flush tranny and serviced it to

I was wondering why my stuff disappeared. Last time mine was at the dealer was the 30k service in 2001. (There was warranty stuff to do.)

That's a heck of a deal. Pretty sure its below KBB. Toyota has a buyers inspections for like $110, they give I a decent look over and give you a list of things that should be replaced.
