03 SR5 V8 help w/ frozen caliper

So today I went to lube the brakes, because they are squealing.

Turns out the passenger side caliper is frozen on the inside pistons, so I need a new caliper. Great.

I wanted to know if I should buy Toyota OEM or aftermarket. Prob from the NAPA store.

My 2nd question is, did Toyota change the caliper design so they wont re freeze or will I risk
The chance of it freezing again?

Both of mine were froze last summer, 03 Sport 4x4, go get the Napa ones, they worked great for me, no issues, Toyota wanted to charge me $600 EACH installed?!?!?!?! :jaw drop:

Good I know I can go the decently cheap route. It's driving my crazy knowing there is a frozen caliper!

You will notice the difference immediately. Brakes are one of those things that gradually deteriorate. You dont realize how bad they were until you replace them, especially with new calipers!!

That happened to me last weekend. Just got the 4runner from my parents, went to change the brakes and one piston on each caliper was froze. $130 out the door for both(with a employee discount from autozone)

I had NAPA ones installed on the 03 i have...lasted 16 months, pedal-travel was nearly to the floor, even after the dealership bled the lines F.O.C. I switched back to OEM's and it's better than ever!
