My guy calls me up to let me know he's got something I may be interested in on his lot. I went on his site and they have a 04 Lexus GX470 with 66k miles. Holy cow I say, car fax checks out and looks really clean. I just test drive it and it's sweet

Pros: They'll replace the timing belt, water pump prior to sale

Cons: because of the black paint there are a ton of paint chips on the hood and bumper...There is a long hairline crack that runs on the dash above the instrument cluster.

I love the way it drives, the low milage but I don't know if I can deal with the chips and dash crack.... ill keep ya'll posted.

Dash is 100% free replacement through Lexus until May 2017.

Buy it! You'll thank me later.

That's stupid low mileage for an 04 on a motor that runs 300k

BUY IT! I know about .01% about the LC's and the Lexus variants compared to Toyotas, but that sounds like a sweet setup! How much does something like that go for?

As for the paint issues, fixable. The dash sounds like it's replaceable too! Sounds like those are just good negotiating price points!

Oh, and pictures!

They are asking $15,900...which i think is fair.My 4runner isn't perfect either but that Driftwood Pearl hides imperfections...My last vehicle was black and it would drive me crazy....but look mint when it was clean

Sounds like you have a GX

Here's the scoop, they are willing to repaint the entire hood and part of the front bumper, buff scratches and wax entire vehicle. They are also going to replace the timing belt and all parts associated and replace any worn items due the year.

My job will be getting the dash fixed (Through a Lexus dealership after I take ownership)

I currently own a 2007 4runner V6 Limited, My only concerns are going to be how the back seat doesn't fold flat since I do have to transport some large items for work sometimes. The barn door will probably take some getting use to and I assume the back window is fixed.

Do the back side windows open for ventilation?

What are you currently getting for gas mileage? I get about 18.7 with the 4runner?

Thanks
Larry

I think I can be of service considering that I own a 07 v6 t4r and an 05 gx470. The rear seats fold up pretty nicely. if you find that they are in the way, they come out really easily as well. as far as mileage, it is full time 4wd with a V8 so you are not going to get v6 2wd mileage. But its not terrible. 13-15mpg in city maybe. I recently took the GX on a road trip loaded with family and gear. Fully loaded I was averaging high 17's.

Also I don't know about your limited, but the GX has rear air ride suspension which is really nice. Also, it has magnetically driven adjustable shocks. once those went out I replaced with bilstein 5100s for a perfect replacement. wife loves the ride.

Lastly, I bought my GX last September and I am still waiting on the dash to get replaced. I called two weeks ago and I made my way up to 15 on the list.

I've owned 3 runners and now have the GX. It's more refined than the runner and the captains chairs are pretty darn nice.

Mileage sucks but I'm running 35's and custom everything for suspension and in at like 12 mpg in the city.

Depends on the area depending on how long for the dash.

I would love to have a V8, and that 4.7L is a total winner. I have it in my L/C and if just wont die.

Move on it before someone else does!
