Explict's 05' T4R Build.

Hi there.
So here is my 4Runner SR5 in its stock form. It is my Fiancee's since 2009, but I claimed it since I noticed there is a big aftermarket following.:bounce:

I have absolutely no mods done to it.
I believe it was in an accident as it has no side badges and seems to have differing options from other 4runners of its kind. I want to start this thread as a base for myself as I start modding it.

So the first things I am doing to the rig is:

Lift
Windshield (haha)
Tires (stock rims)
Hood with hoodscoop
06+ headlights
Exhaust (typical leak in manifold)
Other power mods?


I am still in research mode about lift kits. It seems a decent cheap way to go about it is FJ springs and Bilstein 5100 shocks with sway bar relocation bars. But I am not sure where you go about finding these parts. Or if I just buy the Toytec ultimate kit and call it done.

may I ask why are you putting a new hood/scoop on it? Does this truck have the intercooler to make use of it? Or am I mis-understanding something?

No intercooler. Just like the look. Are there supercharged/turbocharged models of 4runner?

No models have forced induction from the factory, let alone an intercooler. The only real option is the aftermarket TRD supercharger, mostly done to the V6 though the V8 does have a TRD supercharger available, they don't produce it anymore that I'm aware.
