07 Blk Sport w/ Cornfed 3/2 lift

I have been taking my 4runner with the Cornfed lift into my dealership for over a year and so far no negative feedback, only compliments.

Since it's an 07 aren't you worried about warranty hassles from the dealership because of the lift???

It should affect items that are directly affected by the lift if I'm correct. Basically wheel bearing, A arms, CV joints, and XREAS to name a few. I will be at the dealership sometime this month for an oil change, so I'll get the lowdown then.

Hi, love ur rig. Just a quick question. I have been looking to put 3" lift kit from ebay but i wanted to know if lifting the truck made it any harder for you to control while braking, speeding, handling. or anything.?? I like to speed time to time so just wanna know if thats any problem after that. Thnx

I've been lurking around here for a while and after reading a few of the posts about spacer kits, well I decided to take the plunge. I had a Cornfed 3/2 spacer lift. Tires are BFG 285/70R17 on Moto Metal 951's w/4.5 BS and -12mm offset. I experienced alot of rubbing at first, but I trimmed a little of the fender and now it only rubs very little when the turning full left or right, when I backup.

Thanks to the guys that have done similiar installs in the past to give me the confidence to lift mine!

I have an 05 4runner limited and go offroading often....ordered the spacer kit but having second thoughts, been told that if i get the same setup as you i will have to invest alot of money into new gears because my v6 will be really slow with such big tires. Also, how did you trim the front wheel well? Thanks

I got it from Jason Burtman at the link below for 300.00 approx and I had the local Big o tire shop install it. They charged $350.00 including the alignment. I think it was a good deal since I was not willing to deal with the X-REAS suspension, which remanings intact.

Also, the tires were $1100 installed and the wheels were about $1000. Keep in mind that I bought 5 of each.

I would think that a V6 at sea level would have as much power as my V8 at 6000 ft elevation. 3% power loss per each 1000ft gain in elevation. I know when I get around 12,000 to 14,000 ft my drop in power is pretty significiant. But thats going to be expected.
I real don't think you'll have any issues. Maybe some others will chime in on this.

As for trimming, I had to trim quite a bit of the front bumper off near the front of the tire and the fender liner as well.

Since you bought 5 were you able to mount that size spare under the vehicle still? How is the ride of the CF lift with the Xreas still?

I didn't even try to mount it under there. As I understand it from reading other posts, it won't fit.

As for the CF lift and XREAS, the ride is a little frim, but I traded a lifted 01 Jeep TJ fro the 4runner. You could say I'm use to a vehicle that has firm suspension.

Just had my first experience with the dealership since I put on the lift and it was overwhelming positive. The service advisors thought it was best looking 4th gen 4runner they had seen on the shop.
But it was in for the 10,000 mile oil change and not a warranty issue. I think I'll take a wait and see approach regarding their opinion of warranty and modified suspension.
