'07 GX470 Build Thread

Nice upgrades so far! The Trail wheels look great on there. If only you could find some Lexus center caps. I like mods that have an OEM look and feel to them. Keep it up!
Ohcrymore anything recent?

Nothing too major since. I removed the front sway bar and installed Rago ditch mounts and a pair of cheap lights. I use a wireless relay/switch system to control them (found here). I'll be replacing them with antennas once I have a HAM and CB radio wired into the truck. CMCC '18 was 2 weeks ago, here are a couple of pics. Plans for the distant future include front and rear bumper along with a BMC.

old thread, but congrats on the rig. It looks almost civil, but is gnarly

when you're not torturing it in the wild, how's the ride quality? and did you pickup any unpleasant noise with the suspension upgrades ?

Sorry for the long wait, it's been a while since I checked the forum. The ride quality is slightly firmer than stock but not harsh by any means. I mainly wheel in PA, so I get a lot of coal filled water which translates into bushing squeaks during articulation. It's not really noticeable from the cabin though.

your suspension

nice ride man. How does your truck ride around town? Just bought a 2005 and considering OME full lift. `dont want to go too crazy $$$$$.

It rides like a couch on wheels. I removed the front sway bar so that the front actually articulates independently and it rolls a little more in the corners, but the ride quality has only gotten better as a result. The Icons had a brief break-in period of about 2 weeks, but since they've been butter soft without letting the truck dangerous to drive. May I suggest the OME BP51's if you're going that route? The medium duty OME shocks are a good replacement if budget is more of an issue (had them on my old 4Runner and loved them).
