08 4run V-6 Check Engine, TRAC, AND/OR VSC On P0441 DTC and P0455 DTC
I know it's been posted just thought I would start a new thread. Move it if you feel the need.
About a month and 2.5 tanks of fuel since I had these codes appear. Reset and within three cycles on average on cold start the code would reset. After the third reset within about week I felt it was a hard code.
After digging here and on the net found a TSB (Sorry forget the number) and basically stated to start with a fuel cap OEM a must. So I did.
Since then no light! COOL DEAL I feel it's fixed.
FYI: During the info dig I found an explanation on the self test which only will occur after 5 hours (key word about) shut off. The evening I replaced the cap I went out to the garage and it was quiet in there no noise other than a hmm from the rear of the runner. I listened a moment and figured it was the self test going on the EVAP system. I opened the gas cap door and removed the cap with a wooosssshhhh! Cool system was holding pressure. Replace the cap and cycled the key. Just thought I would relay that info.
1 month and 800+ miles and counting no lights! :bravo:
