How can you get 2" out of a 1" lift ? wouldn't the spacer only measure 1" or whats the deal.

What are they made of ?

Lou , it still holds the rake too without overkill , just enough to make the other 4R's running around the area say hmmmm...... something looks different on that one .

For those than want to do a cornfed 1-2 front lift, that can be done no problem, just let me know and I cango into more detail.

I still don't understand why a 1" lift with net you 2" would you not be able to see that the spacer is bigger than 1" before install ??

TRDs truck looks perfect ( and still has some factory rake to it ) but MACs looks way to nose high ( which I think he changed anyway ).

My front measures 34.25 and the back measures 36.50 on passenger side. It and even 34 & 36 on the driver side with a full tank to fuel. So to me IF I would go and end up with 2" would look to nose high.

My other problem is having someone here who knows how to install it without wrecking my XREAS and all that other crap coming from the front.

Would I need an alignment after install ?

Falls, I didn't understand it either but when I found that thread a while back it made sense. My 4-Runner is a 2WD V8 with no XREAS and no rear air suspension. Anytime I get my suspension worked on I get alignments.

Yep... even though it is only a small lift, you are still changing the suspension geometry up front. I would get an alignment just to be safe.

That thread has plenty of details including pics of my 4R with the Daystar front-end lift. I did swap it out for a Cornfed 3/2 lift after a couple of months. Too me a front only lift never looked right, but appearances are very subjective especially after a few of these: :beer:

03-current 4Runner 1.25" Lift Front Coil Spacer Kit: 59.95 Click here for a picture. This kit mounts on top of the upper strut coil support plate and doesn't affect the actual spring rate. That means the ride firmness will feel similar to stock after installation of this kit. Comes with necessary longer stud kit. Not for XREAS or Air Leveling equipped vehicles.

03-current 4Runner 1.25" Lift Front Coil Spacer Kit: 59.95 Click here for a picture. This kit mounts under the upper coil support plate and preloads the coil, replacing the factory rubber coil isolator. This provides a slightly firmer ride than stock but is not uncomfortable. It will take some of the dive and roll out of the front end, and is great for those customers wanting to compensate for a winch and bumper.

and you have to get it aligned after lifted, even if its only 1".....ugh...well it looks like I'm stayin factory height for a while...it still looks bad to the bone!

Also might have to adjust head & fog lights too. I know mine are borderline to high the way it is now. I get flashed now & then already the way it is.

I just ordered the 1" lift ( Front Only ) from Jason / Burtman Industries. I did not want to compromise anything and level the rig at the same time. If I wanted an all around lift to assist with off-roading, I would think about what Falls suggested: 1.5 in the front and 1 inch in the rear - would level the truck AND raise all around for extra clearance.

While I did a 1" front and 1" rear lift (and LOVE IT), I might change it if I had the chance.

I'd go with a 2" front and either a 1" or 1.5" rear.

The 1" front & rear looks... too stock sometimes.
