13-15 Tacoma Radio

Anyone install a radio from a 13-15 Tacoma? Friend has one sitting in his garage. Wondering what I need to make it work. I really just want OEM look with Bluetooth and camera. Thanks.

If the harnesses are the same, the functionality of the radio should work. You would have to run a rear camera, and you would have to find a factory camera that has the correct connector.

I'm not 100% but in my short research, it looks very possible.

I've wondered the same thing.... If you can look at your buddy's I'd definitely place the back of it it side by side with the back (or a picture of) a 4th gen nav to compare the connections as a first step. Like easyatlanta said, theoretically if they match up it would work I assume?

if you do this, post pictures of both backs on this thread for the rest of us?

Please keep us posted. I've yet to switch because I'm not a fan of the look of aftermarket head units that most people are using. This however would look clean and oem. Any idea if the LED color is orange like stock 4th gens?

Based on a quick eBay search, it looks similar to a scion unit in the back. So as long as you, or he, don’t have JBL, I’d say it’s possible. But the units I saw on eBay had the dash panel attached to it. So not sure how that works.
