13 year old Panasonic Finally DIED! Replacement?

Greetings!!

My 13 year old panasonic battery finally died at 7:25am this morn

She was a good battery...sniff sniff.... but alas....its time has come...

What do you replace this thing with?

I'd like a yellow top or a red top or spiral cell in general... but they are hard to find in canada because you need a reverse terminal..

Red top

34r ($214 Performance improvements)

Yellow top DEEEP cycle

Da35 ($ 218 Performance improvemnts)

Still no idea what to go with or if its even worth spending the money.. Crappy tire has nascar battery with a 4 year replacement warrenty for $107

Ideas? Opinions? or perhaps just send me a new battery yourself and I'll promise like you.

I got seven years on my Panasonic but only five on my Red Top. At current prices I couldn't justify another fancy battery to replace it. I went with a Costco Group 35 for US$69. Turns my 5-speed in sub-20°F weather just as fast as the other two did (640 CCA is lower than the RedTop). It has a 3-year full replacement guarantee. I can almost buy three for the price of a fancy gel cell, that I doubt I'll get nine years out of. I don't have a winch or major non-stock electric loads.

those panasonics last for ever it seems, mine lasted 8yrs. I got lucky and found a coupon for $40 off of 100 at discount auto, got their "gold" batt for $60. I have never bought a fancy batt so I cant really comment as to if they are worth the $$ or not.
 
i have a platinum die hard. 750CCA i think (might be 700) can remember. ive run my stereo all day with it while working on the truck without thinking twice about it.
 
I think.... I got a deal!

I love the yellow tops... I have used them alot.. I put one in my diesel and it started faster than my vr6 without waiting for the glow plug... insainely good... and no question better than a regular battery....but

I also know from experiance that red tops and yellow tops fail about as often as any other... 4-5 years out of them.

I needed the battery immead so I went to my local Crappy tire.( which I am not a fan of there batts..but..)


They had thier eliminator battery for $114 warrentee for 3 years... 700cca 120min reserve.. for $10 more i bought a warenttee NON PRORATED free replacement for 9 years!!!!

My thought was even if the spirel cells are better.. if I kill this thing .. (and I will kill this thing lol) I am garenteed a battery for 9 years for $124

The kicker is that when I brought back my Panasonic they gave me 10 dollars so the garentee was free!!! Back down to $114...

I would have like the yellow top or a die hard.... but what the hell lol
 
I would have done that too except i do a lot of camping and other activities outdoors and don't want to have to worry about when it dies. I'd rather not be out and about knowing it won't last long. Not saying my optima is a god but I haven't had any issues yet. Good luch with yours thought, it seems like you got what fit your specific needs and for a good price.
 
I have used Yellowtops A LOT then one day I stumbled across the Deka batteries. I used the Deka Intimidator in my Tacoma and am now hooked! Cheaper than Yellowtop and performed as well or better. FYI - I used it as my primary and only battery as well as running an ARB fridge in my truck 24/7 and never an issue!

I think this is the best option (If you want to spend the money on a high dollar battery)

What group number did you get and could you get it with the posts on the correct side for our 4runners?
