I am currently working on getting the wifes 4runner into the service department. It seems like her tailgate seal has come loose at the bottom and even after putting it back in place it will push back out of place before being able to close the tailgate. Really annoying considering all the road noise that is allowed into the cabin because of this.
Has anyone had any similar issues? Is the material glued in place? It actually seems like there is too much material causing it to want to "push" a part of the material out of place the entire time it is seated correctly. Dunno if this is a one piece kit or if Toyota cuts them to length on installation.
As soon as the truck is ready for its first service I will get the stealership to take a look. Is this a common issue?
