16 Tacoma rims

Has anyone put these on a 4th gen? Saw a set pop up locally on Craigslist for a good price, thinking about getting them but am curious to see how they'd look

16 inch rims only work if you have the smaller rotor and caliper. 13wh or 13wl. I can't remember which one.

OP, your signature says 06 Sport. You have the larger rotors. The 16" rims won't clear.

Oh by "16" I meant 2016. They're 17 inch rims that came off of a 2016 Tacoma. My bad guys

I know is is an old thread but I just bought a 2006 sr5 v6 4runner . Will 2016 rims and tires fit on my vehicle ? The tires On my s4runner are 265/65r17. The rims and tires I'm looking at are on a 2016 Tacoma 265/65r16.

16's should clear the sr5 trim since you have the smaller rotors .. per the interwebs. You may want to test fit one before you commit to them.

Have a 2006 Sport Edition and a 95 2nd gen. 2017 Tacoma 16" rims fit on the 95 but would not fit on the 2006 since has the larger calipers and rotors.. whomp whomp

I replaced my 2005 SR5 stock 17" rims, with 17" rims from 2016 Taco Sport. They fit perfectly with no suspension or wheel housing alterations.

It's crazy that this thread got revived today. I was at my local dealership this morning and these wheels were in a parts department display case and caught my eye. Frankly, I didn't think the wheels existed that could tempt me to spend money on them but these are very sharp.

Came here to see if anyone had them and found this thread.

What did you guys pay for them if you don't mind sharing?

Here's mine. Came with them on when I bought it. I hated them on the Tacomas. But they look great on black 4th Gens. Lol.

Once I have my winter's off that's what I'll be changing to. Just picked up a brand new set with rubber​ from a guy who changed them out before the Tacoma rolled off the lot.

Yes! Just bought an '06 V8 sport with these tacoma rims. They were a big selling point for me bc I had never seen them on a 4runner before and I thought they looked really sharp and unique. I think they are a bit of a wider tire too. They look both a little aggressive and slick- totally dig them!

Oh man! How funny is that! Urban Runner, sweet find! This '06 has been pretty good- I freshened it up when I got it. Power steering, diffs, coolant, AC. Tranny flush is next I think. Hey, when I called the tranny place, they said "Those 4th gens are notorious for having coolant leak into the transmission fluid. I had never heard this before. They recommended that all folks with this generation get a radiator/tranny cooler replacement. I have never heard this. On here to check it out actually... but if it's true, heads up! Enjoy the UR!

While I have read on the forum of a very few that had a radiator failure that allowed coolant to get into the transmission, it has been very very few, not what I would call "notorious" by a long shot, the radiator having leaks elsewhere have been more than a few...but being able to get a OEM quality(same manufacturer just doesn't say Toyota) radiator for around $100 is not all that bad considering the amount of mileage that are on most of them when needing to replace the radiator, so I would say it sorta a maintenance item when reaching 150,000 miles or more.

Also if you have the optional external transmission cooler which is in addition to the cooler in the radiator, there would be no need to replace it, only the radiator.

I had read here & there that these rims might not work with the larger Sport rotors but obviously that’s not the case?
