16k mile 3rd-gen for $25k

1996 Toyota 4Runner SR5 4dr 4WD SUV In Traverse City MI - Wares Auto Sales Inc.

Odometer pic shows 16,490 miles. Carfax seems legit, hundred miles or so between each annual emissions inspection, in the last comment mileage was @ 16,487 when sold at an auction on June 2013.

Sooooo...in the last two years since then it was driven a whopping 3 miles?! :suspicious:

The J shifter was standard on 4wd 4Runners in '96.

I had a similar add-on Toyota CD player I bought from the Dealer, in a '93 SR5 extra-cab pick up.

The HVAC controls are not '99+. They are correct for '96-'97 model years.

oh ok, it looks like the J shifter was on on the '96 SR5 not the Limiteds. That CD dealer option looks like it was a sweet deal back in the day! If you had it in a '93 pickup you must have been a baller lol

Awesome museum piece. For a daily driven truck, aside from bragging rights, the low miles aren't worth the extra $20k over a typical '96 4runner.

Tires seem to have a lot of wear for 16000 miles. Looks more like 40-50,000 on them compared to the spare.

It's still a 19-year-old vehicle, with 19 years of depreciation (which is more than the $500 per year reflected in his price). No bank would loan over $10k on that, and that might be a stretch, and if you total it expect an insurance check for $4000. It also has 19 years of dry rot on the rubber parts and so on. Definitely at least $15k over priced, but someone might pay it. Nice but unless you're a collector (and Runners aren't exactly collector cars) it's way too much.

Love the phone though.

Too much potential for sitting around with old gas/oil/fluids. Miles that low in a 20 year old car aren't necessarily a good thing. According to the carfax it only went 1k from '06 to '13- wonder how many oil changes it got during that time. And 3 miles in the last 2 years??? Even if all true I wouldn't be very confident in that engine anyway.

so... just saying....

this dealer is not a new car dealer
if it was traded in at a new car dealership, if the miles and care were correct and no issues they would keep it and sell it....otherwise they would wholesale it out,,,thats what they do
the other thing is interest rate...if a reputable dealer in Washington , Oregon or cali, they would be able to offer 2.49 interest
not sure where its at and interest rates

Seriously! Sitting around and not running regularly for the better part of 20 years would worry me a lot. And even with miles that low, once you start driving it regularly some of those parts are really gonna show their age.

The phone is sweet tho...

Somebody can put their fingers and lower the miles. He needs to have a prove by the state smog check every year or two depends the state you lived on they called to inspect the truck that's the only way to prove the odometer.I will give this truck $10,000 no more than that.
