1985 4runner gauges just quit working

Hello,
My temp gauge, oil pressure gauge, voltage gauge, all quit working, and my battery light came on all at the same time. The lights for the instrument panel are still working. So it is only the gauges that are not.
Does anyone have any ideas for me?

Check the voltage of your battery. It should be around 12 volts when the vehicle isn't running and around 13.8 when it is running. If it doesn't have the required voltage then either your battery or alternator is dead.
