1992 4 runner

Loving the 4 runner, put some new wheels on her 31x10.5x15 with muddies, and threw a nice set of Rhino Racks on for the roof top tent we just bought, just bought the winch, now looking for a nice winch bar


Standard as I bought her

New Wheels, loving the Muddies

Rhino Racks

and Finally the Roof top tent

Quite a few more mods to come for the old girl

I bought a brand called GRUNT, its a 2.4mtr x1.2mtr, sleeps 2 of us really well with an Annex feature, very happy with it, 1200 new, guy bought it, never put it on and sold it to us for 600

Do you have a pic of your front bumper? From what i saw it looked like someone had a similar idea to what i had a while ago and never did. So I just wanted to see what it looked like.

Yeah thats fine. My parts truck had a warn winch mount brushguard welded to the front bumper without headlight hoops on it. I got the idea to weld some on that went back to the corner of the bumper to protect the headlights and corners. Thats kind of what it looked like from that side pic. So i just wanted to see if it was the same idea i had and what it looked like. Thanks

Thanks mate, no where the level of builds of some of the guys here, I am not mechanically minded as most on here, so for me this rig is all about enjoying our leisure time, its super reliable, never missed a beat and goes wherever I need it to go, I have ordered the 12,000lb winch, and bar lights, and now just shopping around for the winch bar itself
will throw some little pics up as it comes together

bought the new winch today, early Xmas present for myself
12,000lb should do the trick nicely

getting the tube bar made up just after xmas in the new year, cant wait all coming together nicely, the bar will be based on this pic

really love those rooftop tents. I was going to buy one a few years ago when I had my xj but i decided not too because i was thinkin that when it was set up at a site, if i wanted to go ride around i would have to pack it all back up. is that pretty much how it works or can you set it up and then pull out from under it to ride around?

it takes about 15 minutes to set it up if im tired and then its up, if we wanted to use the runner, it takes about 15 minutes to fold it back up
perfect for us, it has an annexe if required for the bottom, but there is nothing really pinning it down, so its quite mobile, once sorted after xmas will get a few pics and a video:zoom:

That would be great. I really like the idea of these but like i said I was drawn away from it for that reason. I started thinking about building a trailer that could be dropped at a camp site with the tent on that and then that way the truck could still go cruise around and it would not add to the height of the truck either.

Picked a used but pretty good condition TJM Steel Winch bar today just need to clean it up alittle and paint it, and then on it goes with the WInch and Spotties, BAr light and UHF
