1996 4Runner Crash Test

The '96 4Runner did well in what I think is the small overlap crash test (correct me if I'm wrong), to my surprise actually. According to the IIHS, "small overlap crashes are responsible for about 25% of all serious injuries and fatalities that occur in frontal crashes in the United States." Even in this test (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xxDsYfAqgoE&feature=youtu.be), which was conducted not too long ago at all, the Rogue and the Patriot's results in that test were horrifying. That crash would totally crush your legs. Ouch. Anyway, top marks to the Forester... woo!

But alas, I digress. Even sixteen years ago, 4Runners were pretty damn safe. I wonder what improvements they made over all the 3rd gen years for crash test safety...

Just for your edification.

Edit: Small overlap crashes didn't exist in 1996. My mistake.
