1996 4runner Limited Edition 4WD Engine Swap

Hello,

I replaced head gasket one time at 220,000 miles. Unfortunately it lasted only 20,000 miles.

Car is in good condition and replaced many other parts already except the Engine.

Anyone has replaced a used Engine with 96-2000 4runner Limited Edition 4WD before and has some advises before I get into this adventure.

Any detail instructions are very welcome.

I had a local shop put in a new used engine 5 months ago because my engine was suddenly eating up a head gasket a month all in the same cylinder. Went through 3 head gaskets before finally swapping the motor.

Not a 4runner but i did swap my 3.4L in my 04 tacoma 4x4. 1st gen tacomas and 3rd gen 4runners are very similiar. It was a easy swap, i didn't even remove the hood.
