1997 4runner 4x4 limit thinking about lifting few ?'s

Hi guys a scored a good deal on a 97 4runner 4x4 last friday for 2,200 and i want to put a lift on it. Ive been reading and theres so much im lost. I was wanting to do a 3" suspension and maybe 3" body lift so i was wondering what would be the most affrodable way of doing so? also whats the biggest size tires i could run on the 4 runner w/o having to regear? i had a 88 yota that had 6" lift alrdy on it when i bought it and i run 33 12.50s with just little bit of lag. My 4runner is a 3.4 v6 so maybe 35 12.50s or would that be to much.
