I am new to this forum and I just picked up a 1999 4Runner with 289,000 KMs on it for $3880.00. Car was undercoated from day one. No rust except for the fenders. Everything works in the truck, and I mean everything! Truck drives like a dream. I have a couple of questions.
Since I am no mechanic how can I find out what has been replaced on the truck? If I brought the truck to my local Toyota dealership where I am told is where the last owner brought the vehicle for servicing would they be obligated to tell me what service records they have on this vehicle if I asked them? Do Toyota dealerships share historical data on their vehicles regardless which Toyota dealership the vehicle has been serviced?
