Exactly what are you looking for? Do you have a lead on 1st Gen with an SC for 10K and want to know whether it is a good deal? Or are you asking about adding an SC to a 1st Gen and staying under $10K for the build? Are you talking a SC on a 22RE, 3VZE or has a swap been done?

We love talking about this crap and we wanna help, but you've got to give us something to work with man.

I would not add a SC to a 22RE or a 3VZE and having one on either of these engines would not be a big buying point to me. For what it would cost to do an SC I would look at buying a 1st Gen with a varity of Supra engines or doing that swap instead.

But in case you are looking to do it

Your going to spend TONS of $$ to supercharge a 22re... and end up with what.. MAYBE 175hp?

I agree on the v8 swap.. or a 3.4 swap, some of them even had super changers.

Even if you get the LCE kit above, you still need major internal engine work.

This is the high boost kit for the 22RE engines this kit is from 5 to 10 psi. LC Engineering recommends engine work to run this kit. The engine compression should be dropped though piston change or chambering the head. Chambering is the easiest way and LC Engineering can perform this in our machine shop. Fuel management must be addressed to provide more fuel and ret ard the timing this can be achieved with the FTC-1 controller, The mass air flow kit or the Pro Fuel stand alone computer system. This kit is capable of 55 horsepower plus, depending on the set up

I dont have much time for google searching at the present time or I would be all over it. I am out side the US right now working for good ole uncle sam. Anyways thanks for the fast reply guys...for some reason i knew that deep down a swap was probibly going to be the answer..

In that case don't waste much of your free time looking into this option. Keep your head down, take care of those around you and I'll stay on the lookout for a 4Runner with a Supra engine in it for when you get back. 10K will buy a lot but I think it would be a waste and you would be disappointed in an SC on a 1st Gen.

helo-mech, thanks for the offer funny thing is i live about 40 miles from that shop in colorado. If its still around when I get home I will be driving over and taking a look at it for sure!!!!!Thanks for the link.

haha Im RSTA not CIA....uncle sam doesnt pay me enough...i like the rig for sure, the bank will get involved im sure.
