At first I though, wow this is in amazing shape, then I saw the 2nd picture and the caption "the first picture is of a new one, the 2nd is of mine". This looks to be in rough shape for only 60k miles. Also, the hardware is not the original hardware, it should come with two long bolts for the bracket that relocates the altenator which I don't see, as well as the top mounting studs that bolt the supercharger down. It's funny that the ad states "works pefectly, no noise". The "no noise" is what I'm concerend about should have a low rumble at idle and a very distinct whistle under acceleration haha.

I'm certain the reference to not making noise, maybe the bearings. Which indicates replacement or service. The bolts are important as well as all the other components to make it run safely. Each should be researched for availability and additional cost before buying. Having said that, once u s/c you'd wish u had done it long ago. It's awesome.

Yes! I've been tooling around the idea of supercharging mine for awhile now. I think I want the second gen though...? Any thoughts on the major differences between the two (1st vs. 2nd)? Also...I feel it might be kind of catastrophic to my engine at this point with it pushing just over 180k on the odometer? Thoughts anybody?

I had the same thought. I would love to supercharge mine, but im also at 180k, and Im afraid ill start blowing seals

There is so much information between here and yotatech about the 3.4 supercharger already but either one would be fine, they would both pretty much produce the exact same thing. It has always been said that the 1st gen produces about .5lb more boost than the 2nd. I went with a 1st because I liked the taller stance of the blower than the redesigned 2nd gen.

Someone sent me the link to this earlier and I was interested, but after reading Dirtco's issues with his 1st gen and how it's harder to get maintenance done on it because it's a 1st gen, I'm going to stick with a search for a 2nd gen.
